Trump Is Not A Natural Born Citizen, He's An Anchor Baby

Donald J. Trump: Scottish Illegal Immigrant.
Danville, Kentucky- I wish it weren't so. I wish Donald Trump could be President. God knows despite Trump University, he'd still be the best President since Lincoln. But he can't be. He just can't be President.

Donald Trump is not a natural born citizen. To be a natural born citizen you have to be born of a natural born citizen. Trump's mother was not a natural born citizen, she was made a citizen. It's fairly obvious folks. If not, then anyone could be President, even Ted Cruz. But we know Ted Cruz can't be President. That's not how the Constitution works.

Donald Trump has tricked us all. He focused on Obama's birth certificate for years. Trump had his best investigators go to Hawaii to look for the Obama birth certificate. It was a ploy straight from the Obama playbook: focus on a different issue so nobody realizes what the real issue is. In 2009, Obama proposed the stimulus -- something that had nothing to do with fixing the economy -- while our economy was in the toilet. We all got distracted by the stimulus and didn't even pay attention to the economy. Only later did we wake up to the Obamaconomy.

The other candidate that cannot run because he is not a natural born citizen, otherwise known as Ted Cruz, once brought this up in a debate. I didn't consider the argument then because the only time I listen to Canadians is when I watch "Trailer Park Boys" on my nephew's Netflix. But the Canadian had a point. Trump cannot be President when he is born of a parent that is not a natural born citizen. Trump countered that he was born in the U.S. so that makes him a natural born citizen. Mr. Trump, that doesn't make you a citizen by birth. That makes you an anchor baby.

In fact, Mr. Trump persuasively made the case he is an anchor baby. Bill O'Reilly argued anyone born in the U.S. is a citizen. As Mr. Trump so eloquently argued to Bill O'Reilly (at about 1:35 in the video below): "I think you're wrong about the 14th Amendment, frankly the whole thing with anchor babies and the concept of anchor babies, I don't think you're right about that." You're right Trump. You are an anchor baby.

This is not easy for me. I love Donald Trump. If we had some amendment to our constitution that allowed someone born here to be President, I would support him. However, we do not. Our Constitution requires someone be a natural born citizen. Donald Trump was only a natural born citizen because he was born in the United States. Or under some twisted theory where Ted Cruz can be President. However, that's nonsense. As Trump has persuasively said about Mr. Cruz, "he was born in Canada and therefore cannot be President." See, Mr. Trump does not believe that someone can be President just because he has a parent that is a natural born citizen. Trump knows.

It's time for someone that can be President to bring a lawsuit challenging the Trump-Cruz candidacies. The list of candidates that can actually be President is now down to John Kasich, Marco Rubio, and Bernie Sanders (Hillary obviously cannot because she emailed on the job). Our founders demanded we have someone loyal to America, not Scotland or Canada. I believe Mr. Trump would be loyal to the United States and not Scotland. The founders were more cautious than me. The founders have kept the country going for hundreds of years because they understood what the country needed with the exception of slavery, women not voting, a weak tax system, lack of clarity in war making, difficulty in amending the constitution, a misbegotten theory of electing a President, and a few thousand other things. The time for a lawsuit is at hand. Luckily, the fine students from Trump University just may have a lawyer handy.
